Why this shop exists

Pinet (Eak) opened Elysium Gadget in 2016 because there was a gap in Bangkok's IT retail market: enthusiast-grade hardware sold by people who actually knew what they were selling. At the time you could buy a NUC online from Lazada, but if it died in month 13 you were on your own — shipping it back to Singapore, arguing with chatbots, hoping for the best.

We're not the cheapest shop in Bangkok. We're not trying to be. The pitch is: buy from us, and if something breaks in warranty, you walk into our workshop with the unit and we deal with the manufacturer for you. If you need help spec'ing a system before you buy, you talk to an engineer for free, in person or on LINE. If you need a tax invoice for your Thai BOI company at month-end, we issue it the same day.

That's what 10 years of trying to build a sustainable IT shop in Bangkok looks like. It's not glamorous. It works.

What we actually sell

We focus on five categories. Each is a category we can support end-to-end — meaning we have the engineering knowledge, the authorised distribution channel, and the parts pipeline to keep your purchase working past warranty.

Premium mini PCs

NAS storage

Sim racing

Streaming gear

Elgato Stream Deck, Wave microphones, Cam Link capture devices. The audience here is small but growing fast — Bangkok-based content creators, podcasters, Twitch streamers.

The things in between

Razer peripherals, Logitech business conferencing (BRIO, Meetup, BCC950), Crucial / Samsung / Western Digital storage, Thrustmaster flight gear, ASUS networking. Whatever's needed to make the main categories actually functional.

What you won't find here: drop-shipped no-name electronics, grey-market imports, anything we can't repair or warranty locally. Lazada has plenty of those. Buy them there if that's the trade-off you want to make.

Where to find us — and how we serve expats specifically

Branch: OASIS, Phutthamonthon Sai 2, Bangkok. Open daily. Walk in, see units running, ask questions. Most current SKUs have demo units you can test in person. The sim racing rig is set up Saturdays — most of the Bangkok sim community ends up here at some point.

Online: elysiumgadget.com, with free nationwide shipping over ฿2,000. Most parcels arrive in 1-2 business days via Kerry or Flash.

English support: This matters and we mean it. Our team works in English on LINE @elysiumgadget, WhatsApp, and email. Not Google-Translated English — we've handled hundreds of expat customers over the years and we know what you actually want to know. Warranty terms in plain language. Real wattage under sustained load, not just spec-sheet peak. Whether the EU power plug works in a Thai socket (yes, the round 2-pin types do; the angled UK 3-pin doesn't without an adapter).

For BOI / Thai-company customers we issue full VAT tax invoices with company details. Routine for our enterprise customers — many of whom are foreign-owned BOI entities buying NAS storage or shared workstations for their offices.

Synology through Digitalcom and authorised channels. ASUS direct through their Thai distribution. MOZA, NextLevel Racing, Thrustmaster — all authorised. Elgato through Corsair Asia. Western Digital and Toshiba through their Thai authorised partners. If we sell it, we can warranty it.

Service that actually services

Warranty claims handled at our workshop — you don't ship anywhere. Engineering consultation free, in person at OASIS or via LINE. Custom builds (NUC + Windows + apps preinstalled) quoted per project. Most full builds done in 2-4 hours of in-shop labour.

The fourth thing: longevity

We've been here 10 years. We're going to be here in 10 more. The shop you bought from in 2026 will exist in 2036 to honor warranty claims and answer questions. That's an underrated feature in a market where half the storefronts you see today won't exist in 24 months.
